| Function |
This Committee was established to work to maintain the spirit of the Rest Home Bill of Rights and to promote community involvement and cooperation with rest homes, family care, and an integration of these homes into a system of care for the elderly. State law defines the duties and the appointment, by the Harnett County Commissioners, of the Advisory Committee members. Harnett County shall have no less than eight (8) committee members. |

The terms of office for each committee member is an initial term of one year. Any person reappointed to a second or subsequent term shall serve a two or three-year term at the County Commissioners' discretion to ensure staggered terms of office. No person or immediate family member of a person with a financial interest in any Harnett County adult care home served by the committee, or employee, or governing board of an adult care home served by the committee, may be a member of that committee. |
