107th Coats Farmers Festival

The 107th Farmers Day will be held on October 12, 2019. This year we start celebrating on October 11 with the opening of the Campground and the Gospel Sing. After the sing the Lion's Club Pig in the Park cookoff starts. Plus, the first concert of the weekend will be held down at the Campground. On the 12th there is so much entertainment to choose from like the Automobile Show, the Farm Equipment Show, Farmers Day LIVE (stage entertainment), tons of vendors and booths, Kid's Park with inflatables and games, BBQ plate sale, and the annual parade is at 1 pm. In 2016, Paige King Johnson, founder of "Country on the Outskirts of Town" Dinner Theater, began supporting the work of our foundation with an annual benefit. “Bless Your Heart” was inspired by the love we have for advancing healthcare in Harnett County and, of course, southern charm. Pink Ribbon Breakfast

he Harnett County Health Department along with community partners will be sponsoring the 11th annual “Pink Ribbon Breakfast” on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 9:00am-11:00am, at the Government Complex-Commons Area located at 309 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd in Lillington. The “Pink Ribbon Breakfast” is an educational event that provides information about women’s health, breast health, and mammography. The program will feature recognition of breast cancer survivors. For this year’s “Pink Ribbon Breakfast” organizers are requesting everyone attending to please bring food items for donation to the Harnett Food Pantry, items such as peanut butter, rice canned fruit or vegetable. The registration deadline is Friday, October 11, 2019, to register call the Health Department at (910) 814-6298. This is a free community event, however registration is required.
