Construction Permits

Automatic Fire Extinguishing Systems
To install or modify an automatic fire-extinguishing system. Maintenance is not considered a modification.

Compressed Gasses
To install, repair damage to, remove, place out of service, close or substantially modify a compressed gas system which exceeds the amount in Table 105.6.9.

Fire Alarm and Detection Systems and Related Equipment
To install or modify a fire alarm system and related equipment. Maintenance is not considered a modification.

Flammable and Combustible Liquids
1. To install, construct or alter tank vehicles, equipment, tanks, plants, terminals, wells, fuel dispensing stations, refineries, distilleries and similar facilities where flammable and combustible liquids are produced, processed, transported, stored, dispensed or used.

2. To install, alter, remove, abandon, place out of service or otherwise dispose of a flammable or combustible liquid tank.

Hazardous Materials
To install, repair damage to, abandon, remove, place temporarily out of service, or close or substantially modify a storage facility or other area regulated by Chapter 27. See Fire Code for exceptions.

Industrial Ovens
To install industrial ovens as covered by Chapter 21. See Fire Code for exceptions.

Private Fire Hydrants
To install or modify private fire hydrants.

Spraying or Dipping
To install or modify a spray room, dip tank or booth.

Standpipe Systems
To install, modify or remove from service a standpipe system.

Temporary Membrane Structures, Tents and Canopies
To erect an air-supported temporary membrane structure or a tent greater than 200 square feet or a canopy greater than 400 square feet.
