Harnett County Asthma Coalition:
In October 2006, Harnett County Health Department partnered with Sandhills Community Care Network, Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital’s CHAMP Program, Visiting Respiratory Care, Apria Healthcare, Harnett County Child Care Resource and Referral, NC Division of Air Quality and Harnett County Schools to form the Harnett County Asthma Coalition.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for asthmatics and their caregivers by increasing public awareness through education and resources.

What is Asthma?
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that reduces or blocks normal air flow in the lungs. There is no cure for asthma but it can be managed through education and proper medication. Asthma can be fatal and can occur at any time in life. It is not contagious but it can run in families. You can visit the website below to learn more.
