![]() SISTA Project (Sisters Informing Sisters on Topics about AIDS)
The SISTA Project is a science-based, group intervention designed to reduce HIV risk behavior among women as well as lower the risk of infections with other sexually transmitted diseases(STDS). SISTA is made up of five 2-hour sessions, taught in the community by a Health Educator or Peer Educator. The sessions include group discussions, lectures, role-playing, video viewing, and take-home exercises. To participate, or request a list of upcoming sessions, recommend a new community site, or serve on the SISTA Project Advisory Council, please contact the Health Education Division (910) 814-6195.
