Teens As Parents (TAP)

Teens As Parents
The Teens As Parents Program is available to Harnett County teen mothers and their children.
The program strives to improve the well-being of both the teen mother and her child while also improving their chances for a successful future.

It provides a system for them to obtain prenatal health care, parenting skills, basic child care skills, and knowledge of how to access appropriate health care. This is done through home visiting, educational classes, and support groups.

This program is administered by a partnership composed of the Harnett County Department of Public Health, Cooperative Extension and Betsy Johnson Regional Hosptial.

Cooperative Extension (910) 893-7535
