Directions:  from Lillington, NC  take NC State Hwy #210 South for 6.5 miles and turn left on Elliott Bridge Road which is SR 2045; proceed 6/10ths of a mile and turn left onto a dirt path and go 3/10ths of a mile; the cemetery will be on the right – Shaw Cemetery surrounded by a chain link fence.

 

Dimensions:  from the northeast front entrance corner to the northwest corner is 49 feet; from the northwest corner to the southwest corner is 69 feet; from the southwest corner to the south/south corner is 18 feet; from the south/south corner to the southeast corner is 84 feet; from the southeast corner to the northeast corner (beginning) is sixty feet.

 

Burial plots:  the cemetery has 32 plots and 31 headstones (one headstone is for two people); all are of the family “Shaw” with the exception of Allen McLean who requested to be buried at the foot of Torquil Shaw, known as "Big Shaw" reputed to be the strongest man in the community.
