The Harnett County Public Library on-line computerized catalog can now be searched from home, school or office. Using a personal computer, modem and communications software, users can now search the entire list of books, magazines, videos, sound recordings and other materials in the entire Harnett County Public Library System every day.
An added feature of the HCPL catalog connection is the ability to reserve or place a hold on library materials, and to choose a particular location at which to pick up the items.
You may also look at your record to see when your items are due back at the library. If you can't bring them back within the 9-day grace period, give us a call and we'll renew them on the phone. At some point, you'll be able to do that from home, too!
To get connected, communications software should be set to:
8 data bits
1 stop bit
full duplex
parity - none
terminal type - VT100
baud rate 2400-28,800
The Catalog phone number to dial is 910-893-2401
