Welcome to storytime at the Harnett County Public Library! Our goal is to provide parents an environment and an opportunity to introduce their children to reading and language in a fun way. Not only does storytime serve to spark your child’s desire for good literature, it can also help stretch their attention spans, improve their listening skills, as well as promote the library as an enjoyable place where learning is fun.
Our storytime season begins in early September and lasts through May. Summer reading programs are hosted in libraries throughout Harnett County in June and July.
When will storytime resume?
Harnett County Public Library
Toddler and Preschool Storytimes will resume the week of September 6th. We will be offering Toddler time on both Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00am and Preschool Storytime on both Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:00am
Coats Public Library
Preschool Storytime at the Coats Public Library will be on Tuesdays at 11:00am and will resume on September 7th.
Dunn Public Library
Preschool Storytime at the Dunn Public Library will be on Fridays at 10:00am and will resume on September 10th.
