The Government Complex Park is a proposed Harnett County park to be built within the limits of the Town of Lillington, off of McKinney Parkway, near the Sandhills Farm Park. The site is adjacent to the Cape Fear River and is located in the Cape Fear River Basin. The master plan of the finalized park project includes an amphitheater, fairgrounds building, and a farmer's market.
UPDATE September of 2016: Harnett County Parks and Recreation will receive a $400,000 PARTF (Parks and Recreation Trust Fund) Grant, which will be matched by County government, for the completion of Phase One of this park project. We anticipate breaking ground on the Government Complex Park in 2017! Stay tuned for more updates!
