Mid-Carolina Senior Games 2009 The Mid-Carolina Senior Games opening ceremony was held at Pope Air Force Base on March 23rd, 2009. Senior Citizens from Harnett, Sampson, and Cumberland counties participated in the opening ceremony parade. The ceremony's emcee was Tony Wilder, Harnett County's Assistant County Manager. Harnett County Parks and Recreation hosted the Senior Games' Croquet Event at Lillington Ball Park.
