The Harnett County Partnership for Children invites you to a Black Tie and Blue Jeans Children's Benefit on Friday, March 31st from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. at the Regency in Dunn. It will be an evening of dinner, drinks, auctions, and dancing. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. The event will feature live entertainment by CBMA Group of the Year, Black Water Rhythm and Blues Band. All proceeds will benefit Harnett County Partnership for Children programs and the children of Harnett County. Johnny White and the Elite Band will be in concert Friday, May 19, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Angier at Depot Square/Ellington Grounds. This free concert is open to the public. The concert was made possible through a Grassroots Arts Program Subgrant through the Harnett County Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Council.
Relay For Life of Harnett County will be held Friday, May 19, 2017, in the Harnett County Government Complex at 311 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington, behind the Department of Social Services and the Health Department. Events will kick off at 6 p.m. and will feature plenty of games, food and entertainment from 6 until midnight. Events include the opening ceremony and survivor's lap at 6, kids walk at 7 where children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney characters, and luminary ceremony at 9 p.m.
The Angier Chamber of Commerce will host a Unity Celebration Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Angier Depot/Ellington Square. This free celebration is designed to bring diverse cultures and the community together, and will include food, crafts, local vendors and entertainment. The entertainment lineup will include: Cristina Y Los Artes at 2:10 p.m.; La Trope De Tierra Caliente at 3 p.m.; Busy Bee Daycare at 4:30 p.m.; La Trope De Tierra Claiente at 4:40 p.m.; Harnett Primary School at 5 p.m.; Mariachi Franco Gallardo at 5:10 p.m. This event is made possible through a Grassroots Arts Program Subgrant through the Harnett County Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Council.
