Safe Kids Harnett County will host a fundraiser at Zaxby's in Lillington Thursday, June 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. During this event, 10 percent of sales at the restaurant will benefit Safe Kids Harnett County.
The Harnett County Partnership for Children will host a community celebration Monday, June 29 from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Partnership for Children office at 170 Pine State Street, Lillington. The event will celebrate the organization's 15 years of services to children and families in Harnett County with a ribbon cutting and luncheon.
The Town of Lillington will hold its annual Fourth of July celebration Saturday, July 4 from 2 until 9 p.m. Events will include a duck rodeo and duck derby along with inflatable rides at the Cape Fear River and fireworks at dusk along with a classic car show in Lillington Park. The Lillington Community Blood Drive will be held Thursday, July 9 from 1 to 5:30 p.m. in the Harnett County Government Complex Commons Area at 309 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington. The Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center will host a blood drive Friday, July 17 at the River's Edge Walmart at 590 E. Jackson Blvd, Erwin. The blood drive will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. Community members are encouraged to donate blood to help save lives locally. Every donor will receive a free T-shirt while supplies last.
