Harnett County Emergency Services Memorial Dedication

Harnett County Emergency Services will hold a dedication ceremony for the Emergency Services Memorial Friday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park at the Harnett County Governmental Complex in Lillington. The ceremony will recognize the families of Harnett County emergency responders whose names are on the memorial. The ceremony is open to the public.

The 42nd Annual Crepe Myrtle Celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Angier at Depot Square. Grant Writing 101 Seminar

This is a 3-hour seminar on the principles of grant writing from preparation through submission of a grant proposal. Beginning with a one-page flow chart of the grant writing process so the session will offer step-by-step instruction on each component in that flow chart in detail so that the attendee will leave the seminar with a clear understanding of exactly what they need to know to develop a winning proposal. Nature's Seedlings - Tracks (at Raven Rock State Park)

Nature’s Seedlings is a new monthly nature discovery program for ages 3 to 7 being held every third Thursday of the month. Explore the world of nature through games, exploration, interaction and crafts. September’s program is all about Tracks! Raven Rock’s wild critters are all around but most of them hide when they hear or sense danger but, lucky for us they leave lots of clues about who they are and what they are up to. We will explore the tracks around the Visitor Center, learn about who made the tracks and make tracks of our very own. Meet in the Visitor Center. Registration is not required but please notify us if you are bringing a group. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the program. Programs will be held outside weather permitting. Lillington Fall Festival 2015

The Lillington Fall Festival hosted by the Lillington Chamber of Commerce will be held in downtown Lillington on East Front Street on Sept. 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event features vendors selling food, arts, crafts, jewelry and more along with music throughout the day and activities for children.
