The public is invited to tour the new Harnett County Administration Building Monday, February 5, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. The building, which is located at 420 McKinney Parkway in Lillington behind the Harnett County Courthouse, was acquired by the County to address substantial storage needs and to serve as a temporary home for the County’s administrative offices until new administration offices are constructed in the Harnett County Government Complex.
The 50,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1997 and was built by the Tomsed Corporation. It includes approximately 12,000 square feet of office space and approximately 38,000 square feet of warehouse space, which will serve as a storage site for numerous County departments which currently rent storage space across the county. Once County Administration moves to the government complex, the building will house other departments to accomplish the County’s goal of bringing all services together in and around the Government Complex.
During the open house, County staff will be on-hand to provide additional information and show citizens around the building, which includes the new Harnett County Board of Commissioners chambers.
