Harnett Regional Water has identified issues with recent water bills received by some customers in communities in western Harnett County. Water usage for these customers may have been underreported for several months, resulting in bills which were lower than they should have been based on the customers’ actual usage. As a result, more recent bills for these customers may reflect higher than normal water usage. We want to assure customers that they are not being charged for water they did not use as these bills reflect accurate water usage.
This was an isolated incident, which involves a personnel issue that was addressed as soon as it was discovered.
Harnett Regional Water apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused customers in the affected areas. Customers who have questions about their bills are welcome to contact Harnett Regional Water at (910) 893-7575, where customer service representatives are working with customers to address these issues on a case-by-case basis. You may also reach out via email at email@example.com. We appreciate your patience during this time as there may be an increase in call volumes and call duration as we work to address citizen questions.
Concerned customers can attend a public meeting which will be held Monday, August 12, at 6 pm at the Highland Middle School auditorium, located at 345 Highland School Road, Sanford, NC.
