Closed on County Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), and Christmas (3 days).
 | Energy Assistance Program1. Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP)
The Harnett County Department of Social Services will begin accepting applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) on Monday, December 3, 2012. Only households containing an elderly person age of 60 and above or a disabled person receiving services through the Division of Aging and Adult Services are eligible to potentially receive benefits from December 1st through January 31st. All other households may apply February 1st through March 31st if funds are still available.  |  | What is ePASS?This is a secure, web-based, self-service tool to help citizens screen for potential eligibility for the following programs:
- Food and Nutrition Services (FNS--Food Stamps)
- Simplified Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Work First Cash Assistance
- Crisis Intervention Program (CIP)
