2016-2017 Solid Waste Stickers (application)

2016 -2017 Solid Waste stickers now available! Solid Waste stickers can be obtained at both landfills, Dunn-Erwin and Anderson Creek, and at all four convenience center sites. To obtain a sticker, please show proof of Harnett County residency. Acceptable proof of Harnett County residency would be a driver's license, a vehicle registration card, tax bill, water and/or power bills (a physical Harnett County address must be shown).

Free Pesticide and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Saturday, March 19, 2016

Harnett County Solid Waste Department will be holding a Hazardous Household Waste Collection Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday March 19, 2016 at 200 Alexander Drive, Lillington, NC (just past Cooperative Extension). The following items will be accepted; latex paint, oil based paint, aerosols, solvents and degreasers, alkalines (e.g. household cleaners, drain cleaners), acids, oxidizers (e.g. pool chemicals), rechargeable batteries, alkaline batteries, lead acid batteries, fluorescent light tubes, and thermostats. No propane cylinders, oil, antifreeze, or fuels will be accepted during this collection event.
