Upcoming Public Input Opportunities

The Harnett County Board of Commissioners is committed to providing the county’s citizens with opportunities to make their voices heard during the decision-making process. Commissioners offer public input opportunities at various meetings throughout the year. Listed below are the upcoming public hearing and public comment opportunities. 

Public Comment Periods

Citizens have an opportunity to address the Board of Commissioners at each regular meeting during an informal period for public comments. During this public comment period, citizens may speak on any issue they wish for three minutes, so long as their comments are respectful of others. The next public comment period will be held at the Tuesday, January 18, 2022 Board of Commissioners Meeting. The meeting will take place at 6:00 PM in the Commissioners Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Harnett County Resource Center & Library. The address is 455 McKinney Parkway, Lillington, NC 27546. Please note that this meeting is being held on Tuesday, January 18 due to County Offices being closed on Monday, January 17 in observance of MLK Jr. Holiday.

Public hearings will be held throughout the year to allow citizens to provide input on County intiatives. Listed below are the upcoming public hearing opportunities. Public hearings will take place during the Board of Commissioners regular meeting.
