Harnett County Emergency Management Internship Program

Our Division is pleased to announce an easier and more effective way to apply for a Harnett County Emergency Management Internship!  We are always looking for hard-working, motivated students majoring in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or similar concentration to join our team.  If you are currently in a higher-education program and would like to be considered for an internship with Harnett County Emergency Management, please fill out an interest form (below) and email it along with a resume to: gfrank@harnett.org.

 

To qualify for an internship with Harnett County Emergency Management, a candidate must:

-Hold a current NC Driver’s License

-Be currently enrolled in a program of higher education at an accredited college/university at the time of the internship

-Have an internship as a degree requirement for your field of study (in which you would receive college credit hours and/or grade for participation in the internship)

*Below are the dates and deadlines of our internship program.  As an example, if you planned to work an internship with us in the Spring semester of 2021 (Jan-April), you would need to have an interest form and resume in to our office by close of business on November 1st of 2020.  

Spring Semester (January - April) The deadline to apply for Spring Semester is November 1 (in the fall semester before the new year)
Summer Semester (May - July) The deadline to apply for Summer AND/OR Fall semesters is March 15 (in the Spring semester of the same year)
Fall Semester (August/September - November/December)

 

Once interest forms and resumes are in to us and the deadlines have passed, we will contact you to schedule an interview with our office.
