Influenza (also known as “flu”) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Get Vaccinated

An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season.

Vaccination to prevent flu and its potentially serious complications is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of developing serious flu complications.

The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season.

The Health Department provides flu shots, for more information please call 910-893-7550.

Please bring all insurance information, including Medicare and Medicaid. Some adults and children may qualify to receive the flu shot at no cost.
