Harnett County requires that all new establishments submit plan review applications prior to initiating construction. These applications must be submitted to Harnett County's Central Permitting Office at 420 McKinney Pkwy, Lillington, NC 27546. An establishment that changes ownership may also be required to submit a plan review application if the menu warrants. Change of ownership applications must be submitted prior to the change of ownership and before a transitional permit can be issued. These, as well as temporary food event, mobile food unit and pushcart applications, must be submitted directly to the Environmental Health Section of the Health Department. If you are unsure of the appropriate application you need or where to submit the application, contact any one of the Food, Lodging and Institution Section staff.
