Portal Rental Request Instructions

To request, and book a rental through the online portal, please follow the steps below:

Create Your Account:

1. Place the following link in your internet browser to reach the Registration Portal: https://portal.harnett.org/ParksRec/home *type the link exactly as listed*
2. Click on “New Account” in the upper right hand corner of the page
3. Fill out the required fields to set up your account
4. You are now setup to register for programs through the Portal and can even pay by credit card!

To request a rental of a facility, field, or shelter:

1. Select “Browse Facilities” on the main portal page
2. Select your desired rental date under the “Available Date” section and your desired Location under the “Location” drop down box on the Facility Browse page and hit the green magnifying glass
3. Find your facility and select “Register” to the right
   1. Please note that for picnic pavilions at Anderson Creek Park and Barbecue Creek Park, you should select the “Hourly” option unless you are planning on booking for an entire day (in which you would select the “Full Day” option)
4. Select your desired start time and end time at the bottom of the page, enter # of attendees, check the terms and conditions box in the upper right hand corner and select “Add to Cart”
5. Continue through the process until you receive the option to “Pay Later”; select it
6. You will receive a copy of your request via email; Please give our staff approximately three (3) business days to review your request and we will notify you via email of you approval or denial, and will contact you for payment.
   1. Approved rentals can be paid for by Credit Card over the phone, or under your online profile under the “Invoices” section
   2. Payment by cash or check must be made either in person at our main office during business hours, or by mail to our PO Box (info below)

Reserve a Picnic Shelter (Anderson Creek Park or Barbecue Creek Park)

Rates for shelter rentals:

- $15/hour
- $10 discount for any rental 3 hours in length or more
- $10 Late Fee for any rental not paid for by the preceding Wednesday at 5 PM

Reserve a Ball Field/Multipurpose Field:

Baseball/Softball fields or multipurpose fields at Barbecue Creek Park or Neill's Creek Park:

*Please note that the restrooms at Neill's Creek Park can only be opened up for use with a minimum of a half-day rental (5 hours)*

- $15/hour without lights
- $25/hour with lights
- $60 for up to 5 hours without lights (half day)
- $100 for up to 5 hours with lights (half day)
- $125 for full day reservation without lights
- $150 for full day reservation with lights
- $20 Baseball/Softball Field Preparation (dragging and lining)
- $10 for each additional field preparation
- $15 per bag of Rapid Dry
- $30 Multipurpose Field Prep (painted lines)

Reserve a Tennis Court at Neill's Creek Park or Barbecue Creek Park

-$5/hour per court
-$10/hour with lights per court
-Tennis Courts operate on a first come, first serve basis. Fee are established to guarantee a court will be available or for the use of lights.

Reserve a Room:

Barbecue Creek Park Multi-Purpose Room (up to 15 people):
-$20/hour
-$75 for up to 4 hours
-$50 refundable deposit

Anderson Creek Senior Center (up to 60 people, kitchen available):
-$35/hour
-$130 for up to 4 hours
-$100 refundable deposit

Boone Trail Community Center Meeting Room
- $25/hour
- $90 for up to 4 hours
- $50 refundable deposit

 Shawtown Community Development Center Classrooms (two available)

- $25/hour
- $90 for up to 4 hours
- $50 refundable deposit

*$10 Late Fee for any rental not paid for by the preceding Wednesday at 5 PM*

Reserve Boone Trail Community Center Gymnasium:
- $50/hour
- $350 full day
- $100 refundable deposit required for any gym rental for 2 hours or more
- Party Package (1 hour gym time and 1 hour in meeting room): $70
