Anderson Creek and Dunn-Erwin Convenience Sites Extend Wednesday Hours

New Hours of Operation Start July 6

Beginning Wednesday, July 6, the Anderson Creek Convenience Site, located at 1086 Poplar Drive in Spring Lake, and the Dunn-Erwin Convenience Site, located at 449 Daniels Road in Dunn will be open for all County residents on Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Harnett County Solid Waste Director Chad Beane stated this new schedule change would provide better customer service to County citizens.

“Extending hours of operation at these two sites will make it easier for people to drop off their waste material rather than driving to a location across the County, or illegally dumping materials on the side of the road,” stated Beane. “This operations change will better serve citizens by allowing an extra 5 and half hours to dispose of waste each Wednesday.”

The new schedule change will only impact the convenience sites at these two locations. The Anderson Creek Landfill and the Dunn-Erwin Landfill will continue normal operations on Wednesdays, remaining open for waste disposal from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Anderson Creek Convenience Site and Dunn-Erwin Convenience Site accepts bagged household waste and recycling materials.
