Harnett County Public Library is excited to announce new programs during the month of September to give Harnett County citizens a chance to further their knowledge in various topics.

Disaster Preparedness with Legal Aid of North Carolina
Legal Aid of North Carolina's Disaster Relief Project provides legal assistance and education to survivors of natural disasters in North Carolina. On September 1 at 11:00 a.m., a Legal Aid of North Carolina attorney will discuss disaster preparedness tips and how the organization may be able to assist with disaster preparedness and recovery. This program will take place at the Harnett County Public Library, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington.

How to Start Genealogy Research
Interested in family history? Don't know where to start? Join the Library for an in-person program on September 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Harnett County Public Library, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington, to learn concrete first steps in starting your genealogy journey. An Introduction to Finding Family History Documents
Want to find more information on your family, but don't know what to look for or how to start? Join the Library for an in-person program on September 15 at 5:30 p.m. at Harnett County Public Library, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington to get advice and learn about genealogy resources available through the library. Computers for Beginners
Learn the basics of what a computer is and how to use it, including practice using a mouse and keyboard. No computer experience is required. This program will be offered on September 20 at 10:00 a.m. and September 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harnett County Public Library, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington. To register for the “Computers for Beginners” program, visit harnett.libcal.com. Registration is not required, but highly encouraged since there is a limited number of computers available for program attendees.  

Author Talk with Dr. Sara S. Morrison - Learn about Arthritis
