Harnett County Veterans Services will host a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Remember Day program on Friday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. to remember and honor those Americans who were prisoners of war and those who served and never returned home. The program will be held at the Harnett County Resource Center and Library Training Room, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington.
During the program, Retired Major Jose J. Anzaldua, Jr. will tell his story of being a Prisoner of War in Southeast Asia after he was captured in South Vietnam on January 23, 1970. This program is free and registration is required. Program may not be suitable for all audiences.
