The fee for Construction/Demolition Materials is $48.00 per tonnage or $5.00 minimum.


QWhat is considered Land Clearing/Inert Debris/Yard Waste?
A

Land Clearing/Inert Debris/Yard Waste: Land Clearing Debris, Large/Small Limbs, Trees, Stumps, Roots and Dirt, Bushes, Leaves, Grass Clippings, Pallets, Other, etc . . .


QWhat is the fee for Land Clearing/Inert Debris/Yard Waste?
A

The fee for Land Clearing/Inert Debris/Yard Waste is $30.00 per tonnage or $5.00 minimum.


QWhat are White Goods and the fee for these items?
AWhite Goods are Used Appliances and Scrap Metal. There is no charge for these items as long as they are delivered separated and offloaded in designated areas.

QWhere can I recycle white goods (refrigeraters, washer,dryer,etc)?
A

You can drop off your white goods at the Dunn Erwin landfill/transfer station and the Anderson Creek landfill/transfer station. There is no charge for white goods or for metals.


QHow do I dispose of furniture?
A

Furniture is accepted at the Dunn Erwin landfill/transfer station and the Anderson Creek landfill/transfer station. There is a $5.00 minimum fee.

QWhere can Scrap Tires be disposed of and what are the charges?
A

Scrap tires can be disposed at the Dunn/Erwin Landfill/Transfer Station/Recycling Center or the Anderson Creek Landfill/TransferStation/Recycling Center.

There are two classifications for scrap tires Certified and Uncertified.

Certified Scrap Tires: There is no charged if delivered separated and offloaded in designated areas.

Uncertified Scrap Tires: There is a charge of $76.00 per ton or .038 per pound.


QWhat are the charges for Mattresses and Box Springs?
A

Mattresses and Box Springs are accepted at the Dunn Erwin landfill/transfer station and the Anderson Creek landfill/transfer station. There is a $5.00 minimum fee.


QWhat are the fees for Used Lead Acid Batteries?
AThere is no fees for Used Lead Acid Batteries as long as they are delivered separated and offloaded in designated areas.

QWhat is considered Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional solid waste?
ACommercial, Industrial, and Institutional waste is anything that is not residential construction and demolition materials, land clearing debris, inert debris, or yard waste.

QWhat is the fee for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional solid waste?

The fee for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional solid waste is $48.00 per tonnage or $5.00 minimum.


QDoes the Harnett County Solid Waste facilities accept used paint, oil, and/or antifreeze?
A

We only accept used motor oil, antifreeze, used fryer oil at our Johnsonville “Ponderosa” convenient site located at 721 Ponderosa Road, Cameron. Hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.. Closed Wednesday and Sunday. However, please check with local auto parts/service locations and/or home improvement stores for recycling or disposing of such liquids.
