Harnett County offers various opportunities for residents to help shape the future of our community. We currently have the following public input opportunities for residents to provide feedback and input.
Board of Commissioners Meeting Times
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners is inviting residents to provide feedback on a potential change to the Board’s meeting times. An online survey is open now to gather public input on whether one of the Board’s monthly meetings should be moved from the morning to the evening.

Community Health Assessment
The Harnett County Health Department, in partnership with Campbell University, is conducting the 2025 Harnett County Community Health Assessment to better understand the health needs of our residents. The survey is offered in English and Spanish.

Harnett Area Rural Transit System Transportation Needs
Harnett Area Rural Transit System (HARTS) is seeking community feedback through a public survey to better understand residents’ transportation needs across the County. HARTS is exploring micro-transit as a new transportation option to better serve residents traveling to school, work, interviews, appointments, or other destinations. Feedback from the community is essential in shaping the future of transportation services in Harnett County.
