Mission
Harnett County Workforce Development and NCWorks Career Center "Mission" is to establish a Workforce Development System that will streamline programs and improve service to job seekers, and employers that will be comprehensive, integrated, relevant and effective for individuals with barriers to employment. A system that will produce well-educated, highly skilled workers, whose skills and productivity will optimize their earning potential.
Our goal is to provide high-quality services to underemployed, unemployed, low skill wage, individuals with barriers to employment, veterans, disadvantaged/disabled population, youth, TANF population and dislocated workers. To improve integration of education, training, career pathways, and work-based learning possibilities, to increase opportunities for employment, education, training and supportive services that citizens of Harnett County need to succeed in this global economy.
