Whistleblower Submission Form

Harnett County’s Whistleblower Policy was adopted by the County Commissioners on January 22, 2013 to formalize a mechanism for reporting suspected fraud related to the activities of Harnett County Government.  This applies to any fraud, or suspected fraud, involving employees, administrators, and elected officials, as well as consultants, vendors, contractors, outside agencies, and/or any other parties having a business relationship with Harnett County.  This policy also applies to the employees of local boards, agencies and commissions over which the Board has authority to require general polices to be followed. Any person may report suspected fraud by using this submission form.  Reports may be made anonymously; however, if you wish to receive a response, please provide your name and a valid email address or phone number.  Inappropriate content, including but not limited to profanity or personal attacks, will be disregarded.

Please note that reports of suspected abuse or neglect of a child or adult should be made directly to the Harnett County Department of Social Services during normal business hours - Children’s Services (910) 814-6662 or Adult Services (910) 814-6640. When the office is closed, please call 911 to report the abuse.

Reports of drug-related or other criminal activity in the community, not involving Harnett County Government, should be reported directly to law enforcement.
