Teen Court Program

Program Description:

Teen Court Program offers first-time juvenile offenders the chance to accept responsibility for their offenses while emphasizing accountability and personal growth. Many juvenile offenders return to serve as volunteers, gaining valuable leadership experience.

The program is peer-led, with youth serving as jurors, clerks, bailiffs, jury foremen and attorneys.

Who can refer a juvenile?

We receive referrals from School Resource Officers, Law Enforcement and Department of Juvenile Justice.

Target Population:

Our target population is undisciplined and/or delinquent juveniles ages 7 – 17.

Program Goals:

The program goal is to foster real behavioral change and prevent future offenses.  Teen Court’s recidivism rate remains under 5%, which highlights the real behavior change and juveniles who participate in re-offending.
