The County of Harnett’s Community Development program is committed to matching available funding sources to citizen’s housing rehabilitation needs. Funding sources include monies received through the NC Division of Community Assistance’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and NC Housing Finance Agency’s Single Family Rehabilitation (SFR) and Urgent Repair Grant (URP) programs.
Community Development’s strategy is to gather individual family housing needs information through one-on-one interviews, surveys and research; match needs to possible funding sources and then request funding through the County of Harnett Board of Commissioners. Once funds are secured, Community Development staff partners with other agencies, consultants and funding organizations to deliver housing rehabilitation services throughout the county.
