Since June 2020, Harnett County Emergency Management requires all residential healthcare facilities to submit emergency plans to our office for review in accordance with 10A NCAC 13G .0316 and 10A NCAC 13F .0309 (d).  These administrative codes identified require all licensed family care homes and all adult care homes of seven or more beds are required to submit emergency plans to the local Emergency Management Office for review. Under these codes, the terms licensed family care homes and adult care homes of seven or more beds includes, but is not limited to

  • Assisted Living Facilities (ALF)
  • Nursing homes
  • Hospitals
  • and other residential healthcare providers that reside in Harnett County.  

 

 

How and What do I Submit to Emergency Management for Review?

We have created a workbook for these facilities in Harnett County to complete that acts as a guide for the development of emergency plans at your facility and will be used as a crosswalk during the review. You should submit your plans to Harnett County Emergency Management by emailing the required items to hcem@harnett.org . When submitting your emergency plans, you are required to submit the following items:

 

 

What Happens After I Submit My Plan for Review?

Upon completion of the review, we will send back a copy of the workbook with any suggestions or comments.  Harnett County Emergency Management does not approve any plans, however, our goal is to help you provide the best possible emergency plans for your residents.
