Meet Our Staff

Carl Davis- Director

Carl has been with the County Parks and Recreation Department since January 2008, taking over as Director in January of 2010. He has a B.S. degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from NC State University with a concentration is Sport Management in 2003. Carl has spent time as a Recreation Center Supervisor with Fayetteville/Cumberland Parks and Recreation and as the Athletic Program Supervisor with the Town of Ayden before coming to Harnett County. During Carl's spare time he enjoys NCSU sports, playing team sports, golf, and carpentry.

Paul C. Hart- Parks Maintenance Technician

Paul is a 1976 graduate of NC State University with a B.S. degree in Conservation. He has over 32 years of experience in the field of parks and recreation, having retired in 2008 for the NC Division of Parks and Recreation. During his career with State Parks, he was a Park Ranger at Crowders Mountain State Park and was Park Superintendent at Raven Rock State Park for over twenty years. Paul enjoys golf, trail running, nature study, and photography.
