Harnett County community members are invited to participate in the ‘I Voted’ Sticker Contest

The Harnett County Board of Elections has officially launched its inaugural ‘I Voted’ Sticker Contest and is seeking community members’ participation in casting their votes to determine a winner for the 2024 General Election sticker.

Members of the community can vote on their favorite sticker design here or by visiting https://www.harnett.org/elections

“We wanted to create a contest to encourage school children to become active participants in the voting process by creating a voting contest to redesign the ‘I Voted’ sticker,” said Andrea Crook, Elections Specialist.

This year’s participants were various students from Harnett County Middle Schools.

The ‘I Voted’ Sticker Contest will run through May 23, and community members are invited to participate in casting their votes.

The winner of the contest will be announced on May 28 and will receive a $50 gift card, recognition on Facebook, and their design will be printed onto the stickers that will be handed out at the polling locations in Harnett County during the General Election this fall.

The Harnett County Board of Elections plans to offer the contest in the future to include elementary or high school students.
