A section of the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail will be closing on Sat, Jan 10 and Sun, Jan 11, 2026 for mulching along the trail. The section closing will be from Suggs Road to Ashe Avenue. Click here for an overhead map of the affected trail section.

The playground at Anderson Creek County Park will be closed for the installation of a new playground beginning December 1, 2025. We will advise when the new playground has been fully installed.

The Cape Fear River Trail Park restrooms in Erwin will be closing for winterization on Mon, Dec 1, 2025. They will re-open on March 2, 2026.
