The Anderson Creek Senior Center provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere where older adults may receive friendship, good nutrition and valuable information for the needs of those people over the age of 50. Older adults are the most valuable natural resource within the community. Our purpose is to offer services and education to improve one’s way of life at home and within the community.

Our objectives at ACSC is to establish a community focal point for older adult activities and services, provide public information about older adult services and community education on specific problems of the elderly and resources to assist with these problems, and to provide advocacy regarding issues of the elderly to offer opportunities for community involvement for older adults and others.

How to Become a Participant - All persons of age 50 and over are considered senior citizens and are eligible to participate in most of the programs/ services offered by the center. Come into the Anderson Creek Senior Center to register with us, or for more information call 910-436-4157.

The Anderson Creek Senior Center is a 2000 square foot building consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, an office, a craft room, closets, restrooms, and an assembly room. The 2.5 acre site also includes a 28 ft x 42 ft picnic shelter with tables.

Our programs come from the following:

These programs are designed to keep you in the know on the services and activities going on around you and where to receive information that you may need now or in the future. Programs vary from month to month.

 

Nutrition Program - Congregate nutrition services are available to persons age 60 or older and their spouse. The home delivered meal program and frozen meals are also available. Lunch is served daily. Call the center for more information at 910-463-4157 or call the Department on Aging Elderly Nutrition Program at 910-814-6072.
