Clear the Air

Clear the Air: A Vaping Prevention Program - Main

Clear the Air is a two-part vaping prevention initiative designed to support both youth and the adults who care for them.

While teens participate in an engaging program focused on decision-making and peer pressure, parents and caregivers gain the knowledge and tools needed to recognize risks and guide meaningful conversations at home. Together, these programs empower families with accurate information, practical strategies, and shared understanding to help youth build a healthy, nicotine-free future.

Teen Program:

Clear the Air is an interactive youth vaping prevention program designed to help young people make informed decisions about their health. Through activities and discussions, participants will discover that most teens don’t use e‑cigarettes, explore the real reasons some start, and learn how advertising and social pressure influence choices. Youth will practice practical skills to resist peer and marketing pressure, reflect on their own motivations for staying vape‑free, and set personal goals for a healthy, nicotine-free future.

Adult Program

This program empowers adults with the knowledge and tools they need to help prevent youth e‑cigarette use. Participants will learn about the current youth vaping epidemic, the health effects of e‑cigarettes, and key signs that may indicate a teen is vaping. The workshop also provides practical resources to support teens who want to quit tobacco. Attendees will receive informational handouts and a goodie bag.

This program is in partnership with the Harnett County Main Library
